They were singing Christmas carols in Jackson Square last night. A few hundred people came. They seemed in really good spirits, but many left after just a short time. It was as if they wanted to feel holiday cheer, but singing carols wasn't enough. Within a half hour, many were filing out of the square. One volunteer who'd been handing out lyric sheets asked, "where's everybody going?"
