Sorry I can not leave this alone. I have thought about it since it was posted.
You are not old if you have a hip replacement many people young enough to be your children have them.
Maybe the "jerk' just wanted to strike up a conversation. I wasn't there so I can't know.
You weren't seen as disabled so what's the problem with that?
