The first vehicle (M1117 ASV) in the convoy was hit and was disabled (front wheels blown off). Casualties were MEDEVAC to FOB Shank. EOD and recovery assets deployed to the site. CF reported that the IED consisted of 40 lbs. UBE and a pressure-plate."

Congratulations.
I like your use of the word "event".
When I worked as an airline pilot many years ago in another life we had a button on the overhead panel that was the "event button". It marked the flight recorder tape when pushed. It was supposed to be pushed anytime anything happened that should be investigated. I've never known that button to be pushed and I know of many events.
