Not meant to be a put-off line whatever that is. It was meant to be a light caring remark to a person with a sense of humor and an adventurous spirit that I want to continue writing and tell the story. So lighten up. Try not to defend what does not need to be defended.
Maybe he means my line. :) Sorry dude, I'll have to pass. My leg could drop off at a stop light and cause a massive pileup because of the rubbernecking!
On a personal note....I think I'm in love with the "oldfool"..... and oh, next time, the heck with the rubberneckers, get on that bike! What fun that would be!
I have been a silent follower for some time. Today's entry was priceless. My sister survived a fiery crash in the late 70s. Not in war. Drunk after a rock n roll party. No matter. She had to learn lots of stuff all over again, like walking. Fortunately she lost no limbs but has nerve damage and extensive burn scars. Life is precious. The blog is great and somewhat carthatic I would assume.
My sister has more joy than most people, and also more pain. Her story is complex; No fairy tale ending. She can walk despite her doctor's doubts. She has constant pain to continue with walking unaided. But she also enjoys life immensely and she inspires me with her attitude and resolve.
I had a visit last night from someone with terminal cancer. She should have died years ago, according to her doctors. She has the most amazing attitude. I just sit in awe of it.
I know someone who knows you, which is how I found this blog. I am very glad to see you are now well enough to post. Especially since this post was the best blog post of the year to date. Period. Best wishes on your recovery. Don

For the lack of a bungie cord you miss a ride?
That may be the single greatest put-off line ever.

Me, too, re old fool. Love him. And as for Laurie...hope your sister is doing well. My sister means everything to me
