Sen. Joe Lieberman stopped by today and seemed surprised when I reminded him that Walter Reed Army Medical Center is closing and merging with Bethesda at a time when more wounded soldiers are arriving from Afghanistan nearly every day. What? Did he forget the war? Can't blame him. Most of America has.
The New York Times Magazine Sunday has a wonderful tribute to fallen soldiers and Marines. A short essay and photos of their childhood bedrooms. Very touching.
